When Primary Care Physicians are Busy, Visit a Walk-In Clinic

If sick and needing medical care, visit our walk-in clinic. We are a good alternative to primary care doctors who do not have the time and an emergency room that will cost a lot of money for the same type of treatment.

We are an alternative to primary care physician

Many people do not realize that our clinic can serve as a viable alternative to a primary care physician. While it is wise for everyone to have a regular doctor they see at least annually, this is not always an option. We understand that there are several reasons people do not have a primary care physician, including:

1. Local primary care doctors are too busy to accept new patients

There is a shortage of primary care physicians in the United States. Depending on the location and the number of people in the area, it is possible that the majority of primary care doctors are full and not accepting any new patients.

2. Primary care doctors are too busy to see patients last-minute

While getting in to see a doctor is the first step, doctors are sometimes too busy to see patients in a timely fashion, even if they are a regular patient. In this case, it is important to receive medical care right away, something we provide in our walk-in clinic.

3. They are in town temporarily

When patients are only in town for a short time due to work, vacation or school, they may not have a doctor. In this case it does not make any sense to look for one when it is possible to simply visit our clinic and receive medical care immediately.

Services we provide in our walk-in clinic

Similar to a general practitioner, we are able to treat a variety of conditions that include:

  • Strep throat
  • Flu
  • Sinus infection
  • Migraines
  • Basic injuries
  • Stomach problems
  • Ear infections
  • Workplace injuries
  • Rash or skin concerns
  • Birth-control
  • Basic checkups

In our clinic, we are able to diagnose most problems and provide treatment. On occasion, we will also need patients to receive additional diagnostic services from the local hospital. For example, we will refer patients out for things like a CT scan. However, these types of elaborate tests are not always a routine basis.

There only for patients who are exhibiting symptoms that give us concerns and indicate that they could be struggling with something like a stroke. Knowing that the majority of people can find the care they need within the four walls of our clinic.

We will start the treatment process

Typically, we will begin the treatment process by prescribing the necessary antibiotics, pain medication and lifestyle changes. Then, depending on the diagnosis, we can refer patients to a specialist that focuses on treating that area of the body. For example, if the patient visits us with severe constipation, we will recommend treatment but then refer them to a gastroenterologist.

Likewise, if a patient visits us with a sinus infection that keeps recurring. We will prescribe antibiotics but then refer them to an ear, nose and throat specialist. This allows patients to get the treatment they need to begin feeling better right away while also getting to the bottom of what is causing the problems so that they do not recur in the future.

We see patients immediately, so visit us today

If you need medical care, do not wait for an appointment to open up at the local doctor's office. We provide the same level of high-quality care and do so without requiring an advanced appointment. Call today for help and to begin receiving the care that is necessary to feel better.
